Well no it isn't what you think...I didn't have some life altering experience or near death experience...I just wanted to start a blog that would not be closed down after 3 months or be a blog in a sea of poor me bloggers. This blog will be varied in content but never self deprecating. It will will be informative, educational, whimsical and entertaining ..I hope.
The first thing I would like to post is a recipe....it is a cookie that I use in my pagain rituals and during holiday seasons. They are called Goddess cookies or Moon cookies ...
1 Cup shortening
2 Cup sugar
2 eggs
1 Cup oil
1/2 tsp salt
1tsp vanilla or almond extract
5 Cup flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
sugar/cinnamon to dust tops
cream together shortening, sugar, eggs, oil, salt and vanill or almond extract.
In seperate bowl sift together flour, soda and cream of tartar
Combine creamed mixture with flour mixture slowly and thoroughly
roll to 1/4 to 1/2 inch and cut out in moon shapes (full or thumbnail)
bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until lightly golden
remove from oven and dust tops with cinnamon and sugar
